Teaching Mantra in Yoga class

Would you like to get more comfortable/confident with sharing mantras in your class? Or do you want help beginning or re inspiring your own personal practice of chanting? We will explore many ways to bring the mantras into a regular yoga class and into your own heart. We will do some asana and pranayama practice, opening the body, mind, and voice in preparation for expressing these sacred chants. We will discuss the background philosophy of Bhakti yoga and understand the meanings of many mantras as well as practical experience of sharing mantra within a group.

I have been teaching yoga for over 22 years and I have always loved the vibrational healing power of mantra. Although I always shared mantras in my classes over the years, I graduated from an intense 200 hour ‘learn to lead kirtan‘ teacher training in 2017 with my kirtan teacher Nikki Slade who is based in London. Since then I have been offering regular kirtan sessions ( bhakti yoga ) and I am passionate about the healing benefits of sharing these powerful universal mantras. ‘Kirtan is a gift from the from the sages of the past, to the seekers of today ‘ Q.
