Read the minutes of our Biennial General Meeting held on 3rd October 2020. Due to Covid 19 this was held remotely via Zoom and we had record attendance! The morning session covered essential Friends of Yoga business and then Liz Lark lead our afternoon yoga workshop entitled The Rainbow Bridge.

Saturday, 3rd October 2020 (New Date) Our first ever Zoom Biennial General Meeting! The morning session will give you a chance to meet Vicky Bedford our new Chair and the rest of the Executive Committee. For the afternoon session enjoy a free yoga class with the fabulous Liz Lark.

Due to the uncertainty surrounding travel and large gatherings the Executive Committee have taken the decision that the 2020 meeting will be held virtually. Many of us have had to adapt quickly as the impact of restricting the spread of Coronavirus has affected all of our day to day lives. Virtual yoga classes, meetings and social gatherings have now become a way of life.

CHAIRPERSON VACANCY The Secretary reported that she had received an email the evening before the Executive Meeting from Helen Sutcliffe advising that Greta Dabek has volunteered to fill our vacant post of Chairperson. The Committee were delighted and unanimously agreed that Greta should be offered the role. Until September 2020 the role will be known as Acting Chairperson - to be formally voted in by our Members at the Bi-AGM.

CHAIRMAN'S REPORT – MAGGIE BROCKLEHURST Well we got there in the end – the wonderful new website is up and running. Thank you all for your work, your patience, tenacity, time and whole hearted effort to bring this project to fruition. I have had lots of compliments on the website and thank you to those who have personally telephoned and communicated with members to enable them to register and upload their teacher details.

CHAIRMAN'S REPORT – MAGGIE BROCKLEHURST As always I open the Chair report with a massive thank to you all for the work you do for Friends of Yoga.  The appreciation not only comes from me but from the rest of the Friends of Yoga community.  I have received many written and verbal comments of appreciation during the last six months, at the AGM, the Devon CPD weekend and from day to day connection with our members.
